We meet in Shorne Village Hall at 2pm on the third Thursday of every month between October and April, and at each meeting we have a speaker on aspects of local history and wider historical issues with local relevance.

Our 2025-26 programme included: Gravesend in the 1920s (Christoph Bull), Building a cathedral (David Carder), A virtual walk through lost Shorne – Part 1 (Ian Craig), An architectural pub crawl (Jo Livingston), A schoolgirl’s war (Mary Smith), Crossings of the Thames and Medway (Rob Poole) and How the Jutes made Kent (Audrey Dreher).

Our current membership fee is £15 for the whole year, and we also welcome visitors at £5 per session. No need to book – just come along.
